About Our School
Our School was named in honor of Margarita Moreno Cordova, the first Executive Director of Special Services for Rio Rancho Public Schools. Maggie passed away in 2005 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Keeping Maggie's philosophy of neighborhood schools, Cordova Elementary strives to keep her vision and dreams a reality.
The school currently serves more than 600 students. The facility is an award-winning building and the staff is exemplary. Our school is a PLC (Professional Learning Community). We believe in setting educational goals that the community, parents, children, and school staff can work on achieving together. Come volunteer and make a difference!

HOW TO GET TO THE SCHOOL (1500 Veranda Road - Rio Rancho)
From Unser Blvd, head west on Cabezon Blvd (at the traffic light), then turn right on Veranda Road.
From Southern Blvd, head south on Veranda Road which is immediately west of the traffic light at Tarpon Road.
Parent Drop-off/Pick-up is at the back of the school. Enter the parent lane to the North of the school from Veranda Rd.
The bus lane is at the front of the school. Please keep this lane clear for bus traffic.
