STEM Learning Labs

STEM Learning Labs

Starting in September, Verizon Wireless and Project Lead The Way, an educational non-profit, will be hosting free monthly STEM learning labs for students in your community, through Verizon Innovative Learning.

Through a Verizon Wireless store in your community, Verizon Innovative Learning is giving kids the opportunity to explore technology and learn new skills through hands-on, experiential technology workshops for elementary and middle schools students (ages 8-12). These labs are designed to foster greater student interest in STEM subjects like virtual reality, 3D design, and printing, robotics, coding and more.

I encourage you to share this exciting news with your network, business, and community in hopes that every child gets the chance to bring his or her ideas to life through technology and hands-on STEM learning. Registration and attendance for the labs are completely free! The labs take place once a month on a Saturday, excluding the month of December. Registration opens two weeks prior to each lab date and can be found at https://nvite.com/community/verizoninnovativelearning.

The first learning lab in your community is scheduled for Saturday, September 22nd. Each lab holds four-time slots throughout the late morning and early afternoon, each of which can accommodate about 10 students.
