OASIS Volunteer Opportunity
Calling all grandpas, grandmas, aunts, uncles, or any interested, caring "older" (50 years+) adult to help students at Rio Rancho Elementary Schools with their reading and literacy needs!!!

The Albuquerque OASIS Intergenerational Tutoring Program has been involved in RR elementary schools for four years. Each year we have tutors working with students on a one-to-one basis for one hour each week. We have tutors in many elementary schools. Our goals are to promote literacy, build self-esteem, and positive attitudes towards learning through a mentoring relationship.

The program has great success in improving students' reading, and teachers want MORE willing volunteers for the next school year! We provide everything you need to prepare lessons to motivate students with games and many other tools to help improve their skills. No teaching experience is required!

For more information, or to register for training, visit www.oasisabq.org, or call the OASIS office at 505-884-4529.

Mission: Rio Rancho Public Schools is dedicated to graduating each student with an educational foundation for success as a responsible, ethical contributor to society.
